Sydney man scoops $2.6m Keno win on Saturday visit to club

A man from Sydney’s west has said he plans to buy a home after scooping a $2.6m win on a Saturday night out at a sports club.

The man from Toongabbie won the money playing the Keno game.

He bought his ticket at Toongabbie Sports Club on Saturday and took home a total prize of $2,655,277.00.

He revealed he had previously won $10,000 playing the same game, but said this win would change his life.

“Almost 20 years ago, I won $10,000 on Keno which was great at the time, but nothing compares to this,” he told Keno bosses.

“It’s funny, my wife is more excited than I am.

“I think we’ll look to move eventually and buy a nice house.”

A Keno draw happens around every three minutes.

During each draw, 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80.
