The moment a car plunged off a cliff in an inner Sydney suburb has been captured.
The vehicle can be seen driving down the road, smashing through a hedge and fence and plummeting down the sheer drop in footage from a doorbell camera.
The driver was freed from his heavily damaged car after it fell an estimated 15 metres.

The 70-year-old man was trapped for about 20 minutes as the smashed-up white Hyundai lay upside down on the street.
The incident happened near the Darghan Street Steps, between Darghan and Railway streets in Glebe, not far from the Sydney CBD.
The man was rescued by police and was taken to the nearby Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he is recovering.

It is understood the man has no obvious injuries.
