Strictly star reveals ‘terrifying’ ordeal after being mugged by masked man in broad daylight

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Annabel Croft revealed on social media that she was mugged by a masked man during a terrifying ordeal in London.

The former British tennis player, 57, revealed that she had her phone stolen from her hands while outside a busy central London station.

The former sportswoman explained that she wanted to warn people by sharing the ‘terrifying’ ordeal.

‘I just wanted to warn people who are on their own in London. I just got mugged waiting for a taxi outside King’s Cross St Pancras,’ she revealed on Instagram.

She recalled that the thief had a covered face and was riding a bike when the incident took place.

‘The man was riding a bike and wearing a black balaclava. He rode straight at me and took my phone clean out of my hands.

‘He rode away with it but luckily dropped my phone so I got it back. Terrifying!

‘On a positive note, there are some lovely people out there. Luckily a lovely gentleman witnessed it and came over to help me. Thank you to whoever you are,’ she said per the Daily Mail.

The star competed in the most recent season of Strictly Come Dancing and was paired with Johannes Radebe.
