Outlaw bikie clubhouse shooting caught on CCTV in Melbourne

CCTV footage has been released following a shooting at an outlaw bikie clubhouse in Melbourne’s west last year.

Detectives believe a 30-year-old Roxburgh Park man self-presented to a hospital in Footscray with a gunshot wound to his lower body shortly before 8pm on May 16.

He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the shooting likely occurred at the Rebels OMCG clubhouse on Fairbairn Road in Sunshine West about 7.30pm.

The CCTV shows a car arriving at the clubhouse, and canvassing the area about 6.45pm.

Police believe the same car returns 45 minutes later before several offenders can be seen being chased from the clubhouse.

It’s understood a man fired a shot in the direction of the victim while running towards the car.

The CCTV shows three men running towards the car, before fleeing the scene.

Detective Acting Inspector Ash Ryan said this was a “targeted attack”.

“Over the past year, detectives have followed up a number of avenues of enquiry in relation to this shooting and we are hopeful that with the release of the CCTV and images, we will have more people come forward with information.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who has knowledge of those involved and what the motivation for the shooting might have been – whether that be a result of a rivalry between clubs, or an inhouse dispute within the Rebels OMCG.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information that can assist police with their enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
