Two men who spent hours screaming at each other on a plane became entangled in an ugly brawl once their flight touched down.

Video footage shows the pair throwing punches in the aisle before wrestling in a row of seats on a Spirit Airlines plane.

Passengers on the flight from Myrtle Beach in South Carolina to Boston on Tuesday evening say the men started having a screaming match not long after take off.

This carried on for much of the flight, before they got into a physical fight as the plane landed.

In the video, a flight attendant can be seen trying to use her arms to keep the two men apart, as they try to reach each other over the top of her.

One of them manages to get past the woman and the two men grapple, before one pushes the other into a row of seats and the tussle continues.

People can be heard in the background shouting for them to stop, but the pair ignore them.

The attendant then asked everyone to get off the plane and the men stopped fighting.

Nicole Grome, who was on the flight with her parents, told Boston 25 News: ‘That poor flight attendant. She was doing her best.

‘She’s putting herself in a dangerous situation to protect everyone else on the flight.’

She added: ‘I was shocked that anyone would actually throw hands on a flight because that would get you on the ‘no-fly list’ so quickly.’

Another passenger, Father Allen Grome, praised the flight attendants and said flying wasn’t like it used to be.

A spokesperson with Massachusetts State Police told Boston 25 News that troopers intercepted one of the men on the other side of the security checkpoint.

They said the man told them he was not injured and did not want to press charges.

A Spirit Airlines spokesperson told Boston 25 News: ‘Law enforcement was requested due to a disturbance that occurred as Spirit Airlines flight 3907 (MYR-BOS) was deplaning in Boston (BOS) on May 7.

‘We do not tolerate disruptive behavior of any kind, and the passengers involved are no longer welcome on any of our flights.’
