A young girl was rushed to hospital after getting into difficulty at a swimming pool.

Police were called to the Get Active, Northfield gym and swimming pool on Kettlehills Crescent, Aberdeen, at around 8pm on Monday night.

Emergency services attended and the girl was rushed to hospital.

The Sport Aberdeen facility has been closed the morning following the incident.

Police Scotland said: ‘Around 8pm on Monday, 12 February, 2024, police were made aware a young female had got into difficulty in a swimming pool in Aberdeen.

‘Emergency services attended and she was taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing.’
