Moira Stuart fell ill while celebrating the birthday of Angela Rippon resulting in an ambulance being called, it’s been reported.
On Monday night, the revered BBC newsreader, 74, was at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane in London to celebrate the belated birthday of the Strictly Come Dancing star, who turned 79 in October last year.
It’s been claimed that Moira ‘took a funny turn’ while the bash was ‘in full swing’.
‘She had been in great spirits on the night and spent time with Angela and Lulu, who was also a guest, at the Hilton,’ a source said.
‘It all happened very quickly and out of nowhere, Moira, who was standing at the bar, had fallen to the floor,’ they continued to The Sun.
It’s been reported that Moira was looked after by Louise Minchin and Michael Buerk, while ‘an ambulance was called just in case’.

The insider continued: ‘The room was cleared to give everyone some space but after a while Moira said she was fine and that it was just a funny turn.’
They added that ‘everyone was just pleased’ that Moira was alright, ‘but it was scary at the time’.
