‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has rocked the bald headed look for decades
‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has one of the most iconic looks in WWE history – but even he’s willing to change things up.
The so-called Texas Rattlesnake has turned back the clock and rocked a full mullet, and it’s taking everyone by surprise as he looks almost unrecognisable with flowing blonde locks.
Fans are more used to seeing him with the goatee and bald headed look, but Stone Cold caught us all off guard with this style change.
Thankfully for our childhoods and collective sanity, it’s not a permanent new look, with Austin going for the fresh hairdo for a Super Bowl commercial.
In the advert for the Kawasaki Ridge, everything that comes close to the vehicle suddenly sports a mullet, which includes the WWE Hall of Famer.
Sharing the clip earlier in the weekend on Instagram before the Big Game, he wrote: ‘Hey, catch myself and @kawasakiusa as we let our hair down and bring some #GoodTimes tomorrow during the 1st quarter of the #BigGame!

Fans weren’t sure what to make of the whole look, but plenty of people were reminded of Austin’s very early days as Stunning Steve Austin in the Hollywood Blondes.
‘They brought back Stunning Steve Austin,’ quipped Instagram follower @john_robert_greenwell, as @Mrs_rohr_2017 laughed: ‘Stunning Steve lives!! 😂🤣’

And @mike_the_grizzly_baer added: ‘@steveaustinbsr bro does that bring back memories of Stunning Steve.. with the long hair..’
‘Expected many things on Super Bowl but not Stone Cold Steve Austin with a mullet,’ wrote @FarabaughFB on X, while @WrestlePurists agreed: ‘Stone Cold with a mullet is not what I was expecting to see today.’
These days, WWE fans don’t see a great deal of Stone Cold after his 2004 in-ring retirement, but he did return to the ring for one last match at WrestleMania 38 in his home state of Texas.

There, he stepped between the ropes for an epic brawl with former world champion Kevin Owens, who was overjoyed to be grappling with a genuine childhood hero.
‘As cliche as it sounds – everybody’s like, “I’m the biggest fan, I’m the biggest fan, I’m the biggest fan”. Anybody who says they’re a bigger Stone Cold fan than me are in for a fight,’ he exclusively told Metro.co.uk at the time.
‘If you saw my room at the time – if you talk to Sami [Zayn], you can ask him. Floor to ceiling, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on one side, other superstars here and there, but Stone Cold was top.’
