Pictures show inside a closed down theme park in Spain that’s maintained by two workers who were told they ‘can’t leave’.
And now the amusement park in the popular Costa del Sol near Malaga is set to reopen to the public.
Tivoli World in Benalmadena had to shut during the Covid-19 pandemic and hasn’t been open since.
The Spanish theme park ended up being abandoned after its owners filed for bankruptcy.
But a strange contractual loophole meant all the employees at the park got to keep their jobs.
And to make matters even weirder, the contract says they can’t get a job anywhere else.

So two of the workers decided to keep turning up to their workplace to make sure the theme park doesn’t fall into disrepair.
Now the mayor of Benalmadena, Juan Antonio Lara, has vowed to take the park from the owners and re-open it for visitors to enjoy.
He said: ‘We’ve been working from minute one to provide solutions and finally achieve what we all want – for Tivoli World to reopen its doors.

‘Our government team is working to ensure that Tivoli reopens its doors and does so, as it could not be any other way, as an amusement park.’
Tivoli World is currently completely deserted except for a pop-up market that takes place in the massive car park each weekend.
Deputy mayor Presi Aguilera also said that a foreign investment fund is interested in the park.

She said: ‘There is a foreign investor who is very interested.
‘Benalmadena Council has contacted the owner to hold talks facilitating the takeover.

‘None of us wants it to be used for anything other than an amusement park.
‘This space must be non-residential, but it could have a hotel or be used for commercial activity.
‘But it must be linked to the amusement park’s opening.’
