Two teenage girls spent an afternoon wandering around Stockholm carrying a bag of hand grenades.
CCTV footage shows the girls, aged 14 and 15, walking around the Swedish capital with a turquoise coloured shopping bag, which contained six live hand grenades.
They are also seen riding on public transport, standing on a busy train platform and drinking coffee – often surrounded by lots of people, including children.
To onlookers, they would have seemed like two friends out shopping, with nothing sinister to hide.
The 14-year-old took the bag home with her and the following day her mother found it in her daughter’s bedside table drawer and called police.
The 15-year-old was sentenced to eight months in juvenile detention for a serious violation of the Flammable and Explosive Goods Act.
The 14-year-old is too young to be convicted.

The footage – filmed on August 12 last year – was shared by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, who spoke to prosecutor Jonas Nygren on its podcast Aftonbladet Krim.
Mr Nygren said the 15-year-old girl boarded a bus in north Stockholm at around 3pm, while carrying the bag of grenades.
She met her friend in a shopping mall in Kista, also north Stockholm, before taking a subway train to nearby suburb Husby.

They walked round Husby for a while, then sat down to drink an energy drink while one of them smoked a cigarette.
The whole time the 15-year-old carried the turquoise bag.
Shortly after 5pm they headed back to the subway station and got on a train to Stockholm’s Central Station, which was packed with people.
They then walked through the very busy public square, Sergels Torg, before wandering towards the Old Town, an area hugely popular with tourists.

At 6pm they sat down in a cafe and drank coffee. At this point the 14-year-old took lots of photos of the cafe on her phone, most of them featuring the bag with the grenades.
At 7.16 p.m, the 14-year-old arrived at Central Station alone, this time she was carrying the bag. She headed home, taking a bus, then a commuter train.
Mr Nygren said it’s suspected the girls were handling the weapons on behalf of a criminal group, however an investigation was unable to determine who the group was.
