The Traitors US icon Phaedra Parks brands co-star ‘sore loser’ in scathing putdown

WARNING: Spoilers for the Traitors US season 2 below

There is no denying that the Traitors US has kept us all glued to our screens – but it seems as though the drama is still rumbling on long after the stars left the castle.

In fact, there is certainly no love lost between Phaedra Parks and Dan Gheesling, after he tried to out her as a Traitor at an excruciating roundtable, before her casemates stepped in to defend her.

Not that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star needed any help, as she expertly scolded the Big Brother winner, 40, by telling him: ‘I do too much because you do too little’.

In a new interview, the 50-year-old unpacked the wild moment her fellow Traitor turned on her, and where they stand now.

Discussing how she felt in that moment, Phaedra fumed to GQ: ‘Unbelievable. Under the bus, honey. I was disappointed. I couldn’t believe it, because I really saved him a few times. I always defended him.

‘Because in my mind, I’m playing the game very fair. We’re in the secret society and we took an oath in front of Alan saying we would not reveal each other and we would protect each other unless you were already under suspicion. Everybody knows I was never under suspicion. So for him to do that, I was furious.

‘They didn’t show me defending Dan because they had come after Dan before and I had defended him at the round table. But other than that, I think the edits have been really true to the story.’

When asked about Dan’s comments that the move was a ‘sign of respect’ in a previous interview, Phaedra was having absolutely none of it, and shared that they are no longer in touch.

‘That’s just being a sore loser. That’s a character flaw,’ she continued.

‘I do not talk to Dirty Dan. I have no interest in speaking with him. But you know, I’ve talked to everybody else. We had a wonderful cast. I’ve made friends, kept in touch with them. I’ll probably be friends with them forever.’

Dan, who was a Traitor beside Phaedra and Parvati Shallow, raised eyebrows when he squirmed under questioning at a tense roundtable, but his efforts to move the suspicion onto the Bravo icon didn’t quite go as planned.

After describing her as too much, she remained calm under pressure, telling him: ‘I’m very extra, baby. I do too much because you do too little. But tonight, you’re doing way too much because you know you’re getting ready to be banished.

‘So, you’re trying to put the heat on me, which is a crock of BS.’

Calling attention to his Big Brother success, she added: ‘If there was really a mastermind, it sure wouldn’t be a dolled up housewife. That would not be it.’

In stunning scenes, former MP John Bercow twisted the knife in and joined the vote for Dan to be banished.

‘My vote is for Dan,’ he said in a scathing speech. ‘I listened intently to you, Dan, tonight and your deflection was onto Phaedra. That case was comprehensively rebutted.

‘Treachery deserves to be punished by banishment. Banishment, my dear friend should be your fate tonight.

‘This guy is the silent slaughterer and that’s the sum of it.’

With Dan banished, will Phaedra and Parvati now turn on each other…?

The Traitors US continues on Thursdays at 9pm ET on Peacock.
