Crime scene after Lamborghini, Tesla destroyed in Sydney garage fire

Police are investigating the cause of a garage fire where two luxury cars were destroyed by the blaze in Sydney‘s lower north shore.

Fire crews were called to a Hunters Hill home just after 4am to find a garage alight.

A Lamborghini and Tesla were inside and were destroyed before crews could extinguish the blaze.

“It took about half an hour to get this fire knocked down and contained then another hour or so to get it extinguished,” Fire and Rescue NSW’s Adam Dewberry said.

Authorities say the electric vehicle did not cause the fire.

“Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have established a crime scene,” police said.

The blaze is being treated as suspicious, firefighters said.

”We’re just not too sure how this fire started at the moment, there’s no obvious causes,” Dewberry added.
