DIY favourite Bunnings is set to compete with supermarkets by branching out to sell bulk cleaning products.
The company is expanding its cleaning range, packing its aisles with dishwashing tables, laundry liquid, washing up liquid and disinfectant.
From this month it will start selling 1000 additional cleaning products, with OMO, Finish and Dettol among the household name brands. to be stocked.

Bunnings bosses say the extended range includes over 200 new products across eight categories including laundry, dishwashing, hand washing and irons.
The company says it’s going to be cheaper than competitors – but all the items come in large sizes.
“Customers will no longer need to wait for their favourite cleaning products to go on sale at the supermarket as Bunnings will deliver customers with an even wider cleaning range with bigger quantities and better everyday prices,” Jen Tucker, Bunnings Director of Merchandise said.
Bunnings says its three-pack of Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid is $13.99, claiming the same amount would cost $28.50 at Coles.
A 60-pack of Finish Dishwashing tablets is $21.95 at Bunnings, which works out at 36c a tablet.

It says Woolworths is currently charging $28.80 for 72 tablets which is 40c a tablet.
Bunnings is charging $32.98 for a 4.2L bottle of OMO Pro Laundry Liquid which it says would cost $35.99 at Mitre 10.
Bunnings is also harnessing the power of social media to promote its products with “cleaning hacks,” it said.
“Last year a video we shared of crazy paving being pressure washed received over one million views and more recently a tutorial on how to use all-purpose cleanser Bar Keepers friend had nearly 150,000 views and more than 1,600 saves in 48hrs,” Tucker said.
