It appears that Strictly Come Dancing star Vito Coppola hasn’t only forged a strong bond with his partner Ellie Leach, but her family too.
Over the past several weeks, the duo has faced speculation concerning their relationship, following reports that their friendship had developed into a romance.
Vito, 31, and Ellie, 22, have been extremely affectionate and loving towards one another, both on the show with their on-screen kisses and when enjoying each other’s company in their own time.
Following Saturday night’s programme, when the pair placed joint top of the leaderboard after their upbeat Charleston in Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom, the Coronation Street star’s mum shed further light on their relationship.
Her mum Karen expressed her view that her daughter has ‘blossomed into a beautiful, young, confident woman’, with the professional dancer ‘helping her focus on her self-confidence and inner strengths’, as well as her dancing skills.
‘They have formed such a wonderful friendship and have a great connection on the dance floor,’ she added to The Sun on Sunday.

Karen also revealed that Vito has been over for dinner at their family home in Manchester several times, remarking on how much he eats.
‘It is great for me as I am a feeder, so he fits in just fine,’ she stated.
Ellie’s mum revealed that Vito apparently enjoys hovering over her shoulder when she’s cooking to see what ingredients she’s including in her dishes, describing him as having a ‘lovely aura about him’.

During a recent appearance on The One Show, Vito gave Ellie a kiss on the cheek on live TV, shortly after fellow Strictly competitor Amanda Abbington appeared to insinuate that a romance had brewed between the pair.
Amanda commented on a post that Ellie had shared thanking fans for their support after she and Vito made it through another week.
‘Stunning. So proud of the both of you. You are the most beautiful couple!’ the Mr Selfridge actress wrote, adding further fuel to the romance rumours.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
