Linford Christie has become the first celebrity unveiled on the Masked Singer I’m A Celebrity special episode.

Ahead of I’m A Celeb 2023 kicking off on ITV, a special episode of the popular singing competition aired where celebrities who previously appeared in the jungle were hidden under complicated costumes.

It’s up to the judges and the audience to figure out who’s underneath – and Olympic athlete Linford has now been revealed as the first.

He appeared in a rather gorgeous, rather terrifying Huntsman spider costume, teasing he was a ‘cuddly sider’ who’s ‘cautious by nature’.

Judges jumped on to the clue that he was the ‘king’ and repeated references to maths, with the spider holding a maths textbook and one clue being ‘I proved age is just a winning number.

He later explained this was because he was the oldest man to ever win the 100-metre race.

The star was unveiled after repeated chants of ‘Take it off,’ with Mo insisting he thoguht it could be Christie even though he didn’t say it.

(Sure, Mo.)

The star finished his time on the show with a short rendition of his song once more, before walking off stage aafter saying he had a great time in the series.

There are still plenty more celebrities to be umasked in the special episode – watch this space.
