Girls Aloud fans are, understandably, freaking out because it looks like a reunion has been officially teased by one member.
Cheryl, 40, Nadine Coyle, 38, Kimberley Walsh, 41, and Nicola Roberts, 38, sent fans into a spin recently when rumours started swirling that they were getting back together to release new music.
It was previously reported that the girl band – who ruled the charts in the 2000s – have already filmed a music video for their first single in over 10 years, with the bookies even tipping them for Glastonbury 2024.
And while we’re yet to get any solid confirmation, things are looking promising.
Taking to social media on Sunday (November 19), Nicola posted a short video clip of a large drive-in cinema screen with the number four written across it.
Loyal fans will note how similar it is to the setting of the 2008 Girls Aloud music video The Promise…
Nicola captioned her upload simply with a ‘4’ emoji, and that was all she needed to say to send her followers into a frenzy.
The internet instantly started speculating about what the cryptic video could mean… does she mean four days until an announcement? Four days until new music? Will the other members process to post a countdown too? So many questions!
‘This is the most exciting thing the world has had in years’, one person declared.
‘OMGGGGGG WE HAVE WAITED 11 YEARS FOR THIS MOMENT!!!’, another fan commented.
‘I am going to get more and more hysterical inside as the week goes on…’, another penned.
Another fan said: ‘Christmas is coming early!! Whenever you’re ready girls!! 😭😭’

Fans have been edge for a while now, expecting something big, especially as Irish member Nadine dropped a major clue.
During a recent performance at Clapham Grand, Derry-born Nadine made everyone believe news was coming in a few weeks.
A source also told The Sun: ‘The girls really came back together as friends to rally around when Sarah died, and it repaired some of the old rifts and put things into perspective.
‘Suddenly the reunion which had seemed totally impossible for so long just felt a totally natural thing to do — in Sarah’s honour.
‘They’ve got a single and a video in the can, plans for a full record of new music, and for the fans, the most exciting thing will be a massive reunion tour in 2024.’
Indeed, this would be the band’s first reunion since Sarah Harding died from breast cancer in 2021, making the occasion bittersweet.

But, as insiders suggest, their comeback single as a four-piece will see them keep her memory alive.
The theme for the video is said to see the girls play ‘superhero characters complete with Wonder Woman-style costumes and capes’.
‘This has been one of the best-kept secrets in pop, but it’s actually happening now,’ a music insider revealed.
