Four people have been rushed to hospital after their car struck a power pole in Sydney’s south overnight, with warnings of peak-hour traffic delays today.
The impact of the crash in Hurstville at about 3am was so severe that debris from the Toyota SUV landed in nearby properties.
The vehicle was travelling at high speed and rolled multiple times during the crash, 9News understands.

Motorists are being warned King Georges Road is closed in both directions between Woniora Road and Maher Street at Hurstville.
Light vehicles are being diverted into Woniora Road and Connells Point Road to return to King Georges Road.
Heavy vehicles, including B-doubles, can use the Forest Road and the Princes Highway instead.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as the road is expected to remain closed for some time for police investigations.
